“Seeds depleted”: what to check

Inventory and an assigned task are different checks

A launch-day player reported having seeds while the worker control still displayed “Seeds depleted.” That report establishes the symptom, not a universal diagnosis. The official patch confirms that seeds can now be assigned directly from Peoplesprout Management.

Open that screen and inspect the planting assignment for the affected area. Select the seeds you intend workers to use, then check whether the warning clears. Having seeds somewhere in your inventory does not, by itself, confirm that the intended task is configured.

A small, reversible test

1. Save the game and confirm you have installed v1.0.1 or a newer version.
2. Open Peoplesprout Management and inspect the affected planting job.
3. Use the seed-assignment shortcut to select an available seed.
4. Confirm the intended worker is assigned and check its Sanity.
5. Observe a small planting task before changing the whole farm.

Still not planting?

Record the game version, planting assignment, available seed count and worker state. Include screenshots with a bug report. Do not destroy a developed farm or discard workers just to test a warning.

This is a source-based troubleshooting sequence. We have not established that every “Seeds depleted” report has the same cause, or that updating alone resolves every affected save.
